At the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, tonight’s game at Ibrox represents Celtic’s best chance of a way back into the title race. Not much of a chance but a glimmer of hope, nevertheless.
So, if you believe in anything, believe now – and focus that faith exclusively on a positive outcome for Dundee United and Celtic. Reject any thoughts of a negative outcome for Rangers – negativity is churlish, totally counter-productive and a waste of collective effort.
I don’t care whether it’s faith in prayer … belief in the power of positive thought … the feeling that we and Neil Lennon, in particular, are overdue a bit of a break … or, simply the hope of a big slice of good, old-fashioned luck – whatever it takes, let’s all focus tonight on a result that gives us another late bite at the SPL cherry.
A glittering finale to this turbulent first full season of the Lennon era at Celtic Park is still a tantalising possibility, however faint.
Hail, Hail … Keep the Faith!
