(Faithful through and through)
 
Forever the usher
but never
the groom –
best man, oft
in the colours
he wore with such vroom.
In a marriage of passion,
commitment and trust,
none more faithful,
more honest,
more gutsy …
more us!
 
Warhol prophesied fame,
fleeting glory
for all.
Markhy seized it
with relish:
sclaffed, high-kicking ball
that spread-eagled the hun
in complete disarray,
nestled high in
their poke …
tattered hopes
blown away!
 
God speed,
wee man …
